Vintage Travel Mid Week Motivation

Hello every one it's Suzi b here and its my turn to provide the mid week motivation.at Make My Monday.
I thought I'd have a go at making tissue tape using masking tape. OK so masking tape isn't tissue paper, but it could do a similar job!  Lets have a go.

I wanted to make  mail art using this envelope but of course being a vintage theme I needed to cover the red lettering. I covered it firstly with two layers of masking tape that had been blended over with DI Vintage Photo and Tea Die. I then did the same to a third piece of masking tape and over stamped with a vintage travel map stamp.
This is how it looked before I peeled  the tape off the craft mat
Close up
The finished envelope is much more grungy than I intended so it's Steam Punk Vintage Travel !
Have a go at using masking tape to make your own tissue tape.. then it can be any colour any theme.
I've no idea what other people use when making tissue tape
perhaps I'll pop across to You Tube to find out.

I've been having a play!
Sorry :o(  lots of pictures

Buttons and bows and furbelows!

Hello,  we're back!
It's wonderful to be back into the swing of things at MMM after having a months break.
Val is our host  for the month of September and she has chosen VINTAGE as her theme
For the first week Val would like us to display
 VINTAGE FASHION.
Here's mine..I struggle with vintage! no idea why, cos I love it... so all this month I am going to be really challenged! lol
The main image is Lady Jude from Kaiser Craft stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia. the lace stamps are from CB and the little doily is from Dark Room Door all stamped onto DP from Craftwork Cards Shabby Vintage with Di Stormy Clouds.
This lovely little badge was a freebie form Crafty Individuals. It was quite difficult getting the pin off the back... nearly ruined the badge!

A dress form cut out from a digi download designed by the fabulous Ceremony, link on side bar.

I bought this gorgeous little charm which has been rubbed over with blue Stazon from my favourite crafty place the Cubby Hole.
The hair grip is from Home and Bargain!
All other odds and ends from stash.

By the way this 8x8 card started life as a tag! a  Tag (Shabby tag by Crafty Individuals) but it didn't look quite right.. :o)

I'm looking forward to seeing your fashionable creations and will visit as many as possible before I leave for France on Friday to visit my friends Jean and Bill ... much red wine, food, fun and laughter !  so I may not get to you all.
Thank you for visiting me here in the "Making Room " the name given by my grandaughter when she struggled to describe my craft place, she also said it was very messy!.. good job she can't see it now... she'd think a bomb had gone of!
take care
