A card for Maureen

This card is one I made for my special friend Maureen.... The images are downloads from Cemerony and or Dezinaworld. I cant remember where the Friends stamp came from. It's one of my favourites that I've had since I first started rubber stamping, may have been from QVC. the text stamp is by Stampendous, another favourite. I wanted to use blues because thats her favourite colout but some how it ended up green! but at least it has butterflies... also one of her favourite things.

 Enjoy your Tues evening

A little bit of RED

Hello and welcome. Its my  turn to host the challenge at Make My Monday I would like to see your creations in
Black and white with a dash of RED

I love this cat stamp from Katzelkraft.stamped with Versafine, onyx black coloured with Whispers strokes with an added touch of Glimmer Mist.

I can't remember which set of Christmas stamps this little bauble is from... cute though!

The second card is made with one of my favourite La Blanche stamps.

The cheery Father Christmas has been raised up on sticky fixes all jazzed up with Christmas red Stickles. Sentiment on both is from the  Penny Black: Wonder set.
I find this idea a quick and easy way to get loads of Christmas cards , or any cards, done and dusted.
 See you soon

Christmas cards all year round: No patterened paper

Vintage Christmas.

Good morning, as I sit enjoying my breakfast the sun is streaming in through my windows......  hope it remains that way.
At  Make My Monday  this week the challenge is
VINTAGE
I decided to make a vintage Christmas card
I printed the backing papers off my computer but i can't remember where I got them. The postcards are from last years 12x12 DP... no stamping, most unusual . I love the little Christmas bells. I'm also in love with sequins at the moment. I frequently used them when I first started making cards.... I have loads!
The team at MMM would love to see your vintage creations pop across to thee challenge blog to see the lovely inspiration provided by my teamies.

I'm pleased that I'm managing to create at least once a week at the moment.... If you could see the chaos in my craft room you'd better understand that statement! I am a very messy crafter but I can hardly move around and every surface is stacked to the rafters so I am struggling to find stuff etc. It is the only room in my home which is not undergoing any alterations so consequently it has become a dumping ground for .. we'll you name it.. But its next on my list for a clear out ( well after the shed! I can hardly get in there iether but the old carpet and underlay that the fitters lifted on friday will be going to the tip today!) I think you get the picture :-).

Have a great day

Bad blogger!

Hello to you all, that is if you're still around, I hope so :))

I've been a very negligent crafter and  Blogger since I moved house. I still have lots of renovations to do but the bigger stuff, is done! hooray!
I'm hoping to get into my craft room this afternoon to try and turn it into a usable craft space once again,  not the dumping ground it has become. It was the only room not being altered in any way so consequently "stuff" just got dumped either in here or the shed! I can hardly move in here (craft room) or the shed! As to finding my crafty stash well that's another matter altogether! So fingers crossed that "normal or as near normal, services will be resumed in the very near future".

I did manage to do one or two commissioned  cards. Here's on of my favourites, made for a friends grandaughter who is at uni studying fashion and design

If you're still around thank you for your patience and loyalty . Looking forward to catching up with you all.

Tags and Toppers at MMM

Helloo and welcome its been a while since I last blogged but this morning I had time to play whilst I waited for the builders who were here to discuss the alterations and to sort out start dates etc.... which could be this week, eek! lots to do like clearing stuff out!! they are ringing me later today. If not this week it will definitely be next week.
So this morning I played with my newly acquired Brusho paints. I've never used them before so this really was a leap in the dark!
The challenge at Make My Monday this week is for
Tags  and Toppers
I chose TAGS
 Products
Brusho Crystal colours: turquoise,Lemon and Scarlet.
Water Colour card
Stampendous: Large Tag
The Artistic Stamper: Birds of a Feather
Visible Images: Flower Inkognito
KaiserCraft: Just Believe.

For the background I sprinkled the dry paint onto damp water colour card, didn't get the desired look! so sprayed lots of water onto the card  then let it run off producing the look I wanted. I then just over stamped used what card was left to stamp the birds onto and cut out and attached. I would have liked to add them to a card but the builders arrived... so things got put on hold and since I'm very late I've just gone with the tags.
I hope you will join us for our Tags and Toppers challenge at make Make My Monday we look forward to seeing your creations!!
take care

Birds at MMM

Oops! I'm rather late in getting down to producing a card for Make My Monday... only just finished it!
but here it is
The lovely Fliss is our hostess  and the theme she's chosen is
 Birds
It's a lovely theme, I love birds on cards and was looking forward to making something for the DT but events over took me, like they do and are doing quite a bit these days so my card was a "hurry" job!
 Products
15cm x 15cm white base card.
Kraft card 14cmx14cm
DP: Papermania: Madame Payrauds
 SU: tag punch and stamp
Not sure where the Happy birthday stamp is from
Twine
Versafine: Onyx Black....  so a quick ans easy card.

The reason my heads all over the place at the moment is down to all the alterations going on here at home
Would you like to see my new kitchen? which was fitted on Thursday... It took me ages to put all the kitchen paraphernalia back... fitting it all in, then remembering where every thing is!
I still need to choose wall tiles and the flooring... The flooring will not go down for quite some time yet... because I would like the same throughout!... and before that can occur, doors, walls and ceilings need to be removed, in the ceilings case, replaced... french windows added... hopefully all will flow! from one room to the other... The kitchen is the first job!!! the kitche fitter guys need to come back to put on doors and do bit of snagging!
here's the before shot!! taken the night before after I'd emptied all but essentials....
So please excuse my absence from commenting on your blogs... I do try!!  I think it might be some months  before I'm back to my blogging self :)

Holiday Time

Good morning, lovely to see you as its Monday its time for a new challenge at Make My Monday. This week Sue would like to see:
VACATION THEMES.
I chose to keep my card Clean And Simple using free stamps from the Get Stamping Magazine called Sea Breeze.
I lightly sprayed the card the water  then also lightly brushed two shades of Gelatos across the wet patch, then blended with a brush.  I used Versafine Onyx black for the image and sentiment... viola!...finito! I would like the sentiment to say
" wish I was there"  ;o)
 Have a great week,

Mail Art

Good morning and welcome to the first MMM challenge of July 2014. It's my turn,  to choose the theme....
I would like to see your
Mail Art
I love looking at the mail art that is published in Stampington magazine, Pinterest etc.... I would love to decorate  my envelopes more often... but then again we email rather than write! .. (I love the physical act of writing) ... may be I should organise a mail art swap! :-) but not before, during or just after my new kitchen is fitted... hope fully very soon.
This is a picture heavy post...
The backing paper: Tim Holtz Idea-ology paper pad: Wallflower. I didn't want to obscure the roses so I cut around the image with a craft knife so that the postcard would slip under.
inks: DI: antique linen, Versafine: Vintage Sepia, Adirondack: sunshine yellow & watermelon.
The rose embellishment is, or rather was an earring from a set of 12 individual ones from a well known bargain fashion store.. I can't remember where the lovely little heart is from.
the cluster of tiny postcards is from Impressive Images: Essential elements 2005
This is a 6x6" envelope decorated with JOFY stamps the coloured with Whispers strokes.
How cheery to receive correspondence in an envelope like this

This one you may have seen on a previous post but I thought I'd share it again because I like it :-)
Hope you can join us at MMM this week...
Have a good week
